NES&WGA will be presenting the annual youth grant at the Northeast Youth Sheep Show, July 20-22, 2025  This year there will be TWO $250 cash awarded  to recognize the accomplishments of outstanding young men and women involved in the Northeast sheep industry for at least two years.  The award may be used by the recipient in any way. Equipment purchase, feed, and travel to the show for example.  

 

    1. Applicants must be at least 9 years old and not older than 18 as of January 1, 2025

    2. Applicants must reside in one of the New England States for themselves or families are members of   

      NES&WGA

    3. We encourage all youth to apply

           

 

The committee looks at many things when considering applicants.  We are certainly interested in your work with sheep and agriculture and how it has benefited your life.  The committee members want to remind you that they do look at the presentation of your application including neatness, spelling and punctuation.  Although you must complete the application yourself, we encourage applicants to have an adult, such as a parent, teacher or leader, proofread the application.

 

Please take the time to fill out the electronic form application if you are an eligible youth or pass it on to a young person you may know that is active in the sheep industry.  You may copy the application if needed.

 

Completed applications must be returned by June 15, 2025.
